Great things are happening...

The Construction Management Academies II & III (morning class) will be working at the Habitat for Humanities site in Lady Lake.  They will participate in all aspects needed for a residential build. The afternoon class will be working at the Ye' Old Thrift Store in Lady Lake in conjunction with The Villages Hospital Auxillary Foundation, assisting with a commercial build. Both classes will have the opportunity to develop hands-on skills needed in the construction indusrty.

In addition to the on-site experiences the students are completing the NCCER Certifications in Core Curriculum and Carpentry. They will also be fork lift trained during the school year.

The Construction Management Academy I will be working on their NCCER Core Curiculum with a completion and certification date at the end of the school year. They will be learning about job & tool safety and will complete their OSHA10 certification. Students are also being taught construction math and the use of hand and power tools.

The Academies would like to thank the advisory board for their support of the program. We would also like to thank the Habitat for Humanity project manager, Barry Martin, and all of his volunteers who help us on a daily basis.

We're looking forward to a great year!
